My favorites were the yummy honey glazed ham and burnt crabby cakes—but to top it all off was the sweet potato pudding with crushed candied pecans sprinkled on top. It was amazing! I actually went into a food coma and my oversized tummy caused a drowsy stir in me.
What were some of the dishes you had this holiday season? Share the recipe if you could so others can learn too! I’m not much of a cook—I try and make a full-effort attempt—but sometimes it just doesn’t work.
It’s like watching the Rachel Ray segment of the Food Network.
That’s what amazes me at Christmas time. Every person will make an attempt to cook something extra delicious or their specialty for the gathering that they attend. Either that or a single person will dish out an extravagant 16-course meal in an hour fit to feed 40 people waiting in a buffet line. I never complain—usually I’m one of the people in THAT buffet line waiting to be fed.
I just think it’s wonderful that December is the season of giving, wonderful food, and the sharing of warmth and love from family and friends. I wish I could catch the spirit and atmosphere of Christmas and collect them in jars like fireflies, watching them glow with such brightness each and every day of the year. Tis the season to be jolly!!
