Ever wonder why the pumpkin was the biggest squash of Halloween? It’s like the big cheese of October. I mean, it’s a big orange squash that happens to taste really good in pies! Here’s a fun fact – the largest pumpkin pie that was ever baked happened in 2005 and was a whopping 2,020 pounds! You try eating that one for size, talk about overdose of pumpkin.
Did you also know that 36.1 million kids went trick or treating last year? Ouchies – that’s a lot of sweets don’t you think? I wonder how many will be going this year. Oh, and we can’t forget the houses that had really pretty carved pumpkins can we? It would be REALLY awesome if someone carved the largest pumpkin ever grown, which was 1,689 pounds – now THAT would be scary!
Guess that pumpkin has got to be heavy! Fat chance of me lifting that thing up. Ha!

I was never a big fan of candy in general, so Halloween wasn't a holiday I looked forward to. Sure, I loved to go out and 'trick or treat' with friends back in the day, but it was just for having a good time.
If they gave out stuff like cupcakes or whatever for Halloween then that'd be a different story ;)

I remember my dentist used to give out toothbrushes for trick or treat and i thuoght it was so lame...but with that much candy, maybe it wasn't such a bad idea. :)
