This week is very special for our little home sweet home — planet Earth. Why? Well, if you've heard anything about global warming
then you know the heat is on!
On March 29th at 8pm, everyone around the world who's participating in "Earth Hour"
will turn off their lights for one hour.
It all began last year on March 31st when people and companies in Sydney, Australia
switched off and helped reduce the city's energy by 10.2%! That's a big WOW! Communities all around the world noticed — so the people in Sydney have decided to take what they learned and go global! Woot!
Personally, I think anyone who joins up is awesome! And lots of people all around the globe are signing up to show their support. If you're one of them, props to you!
I mean, seriously, it's only an hour…maybe I'll just take a nap. I'm in! Are you?
Now in honor of it all, let's see how many of you can guess this tune: "Turn off the light, oh, turn off the light…"
Well, I look at it this way sara242 - we're really HIP nerds! LoL :)
You know, it's always good to do something good for the nvironment. It's like an itty bitty return for all that we use. =)

hey lights out sounds like lots of fun.And if you can find someone to share the darkness with ,even more fun.count me in.I heard that in 4 to 5 years the new light bulbs well be made out of them L E Ds that they already use in flashlights now.and the life span of the bulbs last a very long time and it will use just a fraction of the energy bulds use today, even the cork screwy ones.
