In memoriam

This week was a tough one.

The news of Monday’s Virginia Tech Click here to learn about third-party website links massacre still has me reeling, even more so as I watch shocking details unfold on the news.

Young Barbara, my colleague and a recent grad, is having a particularly tough time. My colleague Caroline, stepmother to a college sophomore, knows something like this just as easily could’ve happened on her daughter’s campus.

People have been searching for ways to comfort those who are grieving and finding their own way to show their support.

In the wake of tragedy—especially one so senseless—there are so many things you want to say, so many questions you want to ask. But sometimes, you just need to take a moment to be silent.

It was very tough because all those people dying. We also gave a moment of silents at OHS here in Ontario California. We were very sad too.
