Day Or Night?

We are going to turn on the night feature in S.I. and wanted to get your feedback about the day/night cycle. We can keep it on the traditional 24-hour schedule or put it on a 12-hour schedule (which means there will be two nights every day). What do you think? Do you have a preference?

Many people are only on certain times of day, so the more cycles the better. Otherwise, those people will get tired of the same conditions.

I vote for the 12-hour schedule. Only because some people who aren't able to be here late at night can still experience SI nights. ( And the opposite- of course ) My suggestion is - try the 12-hour first then follow up if they think it's ok or not.

Obviously in 24 hour format, its more realistic.
I have some other realistic ideas, but that would be going off-topic :D

Hi Seacadet1, we would love to hear all of your off-topic ideas. You can post them here or email us, which ever you are more comfortable with.

I would say that since SI is world wide and all, my vote is for 12 hour schedule

I loved it when we used to have night and would obviously love t have it back! More nght the better, makes everything less bright and all around cooler looking.

i think we should have night

I like the 12 hour idea. Just to be able to see peoples teeth and eyes at night with their chat balloon moving about would be a kewl affeat. lol

Yes night is awsome I think stagecoach should have it at night in day sun light :) plz

Keep it at 24 hours. If more people start playing that don't get to see it, then change it back to 12 hours.

potato chip sandwich with mayonnaise is the greatest

Why don't you integrate this into Second Life? Where is your presence there?

i know this is an old forum thing or w/e it is. but y not spice up that moon a bit and add in some phases. at least change it once a day. maybe half crescent?

i think the schule you have it on now is great but maaaybe you can like either make the weather diffrent or maybe like just change the sky for like when it be comeing daylight out you could make the sky look like the sun is just comeing out basicly make it look like a sunrise an when it is going to night make it look the sun is going down or even mabye put a moon out an make it like a real moon like maybe some nightss it full an others its only half full an sometimes you can barely even see it an once in a great while make the sky look like a lunar eclipse is happening

Hey Shauna - lots of islanders have been talking about this as well, we've had floods and droughts before...have you seen the pictures from my posts? =)

About me:

On quiet afternoons on the island, I find new islanders and show them around. Almost every Friday night some friends that I've had for years meet up with me, and we can chat for hours without getting bored. I enjoy "Simming" homes, so drop me a gram if you'd like any help on a build!

Best Island Memory:

I can remember my first journey around the island like it was yesterday. It was on June 21, 2007, I met so many friendly islanders that day who showed me all of the important locations. Very few of them still come online, but I've also made many new friends through the years of being a Stagecoach citizen.
