Returning From One Oasis To Another

I have returned from an awesome Maui adventure! In the past few days, I trekked out into two miles of ocean (and it was actually pretty shallow), snorkeled in Molokini, swam with sea turtles and explored Wailea and Lahaina. I can’t even begin to tell you what an amazing time I had.

The flowers on the island are more beautiful than the pictures, and the sand is super soft and squishy between your toes. There are shells strewn across each beach, and the waves are calm and beautiful. The best part about it was when I sat on the wooden chairs on the balcony—all I saw were palm trees and miles and miles of blue ocean, and the tones were all different. It went from a pastel blue to a bit of a turquoise to a rich royal blue.

Worst part, though, was when I went beach exploring and decided to trek a mile toward the ocean—I forgot to wear underwater slippers. Needless to say, stepping on rocks where underwater life grew was, well, extremely painful. I also earned myself a red-hot sunburn from my endless everyday snorkeling, but overall, it was well worth it. I’d fry again if I could spend another week in Maui.

When I got back yesterday, I met up on Pizza Island with Sadie girl, RandyLH and MegSRP and filled them in with the scoop from my trip. MegSRP’s first reaction was, “back so soon?” and I totally agreed with her. We hung out and had a group Macarena dance and cartwheel sessions and watched the sunset.

For more trip details, find me in world and I’ll give you the full scoop. For the time being Stagecoach Island is my little piece of Maui.

Live From Hawaii: Cassie Snorkeling!

Today I had the most awesome privilege of snorkeling near the beautiful island of Molokini. We rode in a huge boat for 45 minutes, and it was just super pretty out there—not to mention the weather was mad hot! It reminded me a lot of our Pizza/Titanic Island and had the same gorgeous blue water and remote-looking feel. The only different thing is Molokini is shaped like a waning moon and Pizza Island, well, is shaped like a slice of pizza.

After getting all my gear, which took forever, I jumped right into the water and began snorkeling. I saw coral reefs, eel, and so many exotic fishes! Of course, I had my hefty underwater camera with me and captured each of the awesome things I saw.

Burgers And Photo-Ops

Yesterday afternoon I went in world and met lots of new faces! I met Baxterdude, Chalyn, Whopperjr Matt, cgm96 and hung out with Rosabelle in the mall. We talked about our past icky food experiences because Whopperjr kept talking about fries, nuggets and burgers, so Rosabelle and I chimed in with our own menu. She told me about the time when she went to a fast-food joint in Waikiki and found a bumble bee in her burger! Gross!

Afterwards, Whopperjr invited me to the lounge area at 66 S 48 E where he was serving up a storm of burgers and fries. I ordered a burger and a side of fries and took a takeout box because he gave me a free burger to go—how thoughtful!

After I left there, I went to find RandyLH and Shawna0630 to catch up on the latest news. Also, guess who I saw today? I bumped into Kai, vocalOne, Ashleyxoxo, Badjer and so many other islanders that I’ve missed for awhile. Other than that, RandyLH, Scorpio, Shawna0630 and I had our very own Stagecoach Island beach photo shoot session! Check us out!

Green People And Leprechauns!

A big "woot" to all the smashing green attendees at our St. Patty's Day party last Friday! It was awesome to hang out with everyone there including RandyLH, Ashleyxoxo, Rosabelle, Restless Mind, Mrobbins, CuteyMcKitty and all of the other cool people at Ambiance Nightclub. Sooze and I were the first ones there, but we were soon joined by many others including numba1stunna, aka "Pinky." For those who weren't there, Ashleyxoxo dubbed him "Pinky" because at first he was the only one not dressed in green at the party AND he was actually sporting this bright pink shirt.

Everyone danced and chit chatted as they kicked off the weekend. We talked about my new MySpace profile Click here to learn about third-party website links, island gossip and so much more! Another cool thing about the party was that we added a little pizzazz to the club by dropping in two jumping leprechauns as party decors. It was my little way to bring a piece of St.Patty's Day to Stagecoach Island. It added the Lucky Charms effect for me and I hope it did the same for all of you too!

Now that the St. Patty's Day is over, what's our plan for Easter?

A big woot to all the smashing green attendees Everyone danced and chit chatted as they kicked off the weekend

Come join Cassie and friends for our in world celebration of St. Patrick’s Day this Friday at 4:00 PM PST in Club Ambience. Be prepared to party and don’t forget to wear your green!

Luck Of The Irish: Ireland’s Blarney Stone

One of my favorite beliefs around St. Patrick’s Day Click here to learn about third-party website links is the tradition of kissing the Blarney Stone. As a kid, I ate jelly beans Click here to learn about third-party website links painted with gray and brown candy spots to look like rocks that were supposed to be chunks of the "Blarney Stone Click here to learn about third-party website links." During elementary class, we’d have to answer trivia questions about St. Patrick’s Day traditions just so we could get a piece of “the stone” – they were so yummy! Now that I’m older, I’m just not that gullible anymore, so instead of thinking of the Blarney Stone as a big candy coated jelly bean, I’ll share with you what it really is...

The stone originally belonged to Scotland Click here to learn about third-party website links and because of its “magical powers” it was believed to possess; many Scottish kings Click here to learn about third-party website links were crowned over it. I know this may sound gross, but thousands of tourists go to Ireland to visit the Blarney Castle Click here to learn about third-party website links every year just so they can kiss this stone! It was believed that once you kiss the stone, you will be blessed and receive the gift of eloquence Click here to learn about third-party website links.

Funny thing is that the stone is located on the inside of an outside wall of the castle, I know – weird right? But get this – so in order to kiss the stone, you have to lay on your back, arch your head over a HUGE gap and look towards the stone. You’re pretty high up off the ground too I might add. Yikes! I’m really OK – I don’t need the gift of eloquence that bad! I’m fine and happy sticking my good old Lucky Charms Click here to learn about third-party website links cereal in the morning. How do you celebrate your Luck of the Irish?

Welcoming St. Patty’s Day!

Have you ever wondered why St. Patrick's Day is widely represented by a two foot tall leprechaun Click here to learn about third-party website links, a pot of gold, and a green shamrock Click here to learn about third-party website links? I don’t know about you, but if you follow the myth, technically, you’re supposed to find the leprechaun, stare strongly into his little beady eyes and then he’ll disclose to you the secret location of the pot of gold.

Folklore has it that the leprechaun is a little tiny elf-like creature that dwells in the deepest forests of Ireland Click here to learn about third-party website links dressed as a shoemaker. Why is he special you ask? Well, simply because he carries with him the pot of gold some people search for at the end of a rainbow. It’s like all those Skittles commercials Click here to learn about third-party website links, except in this case, the gold is real gold and not chewy candy pieces, and the only way you can get to it is not by following the rainbow, but by following the tiny elf. According to the Irish stories, the leprechaun is very cunning and he’ll easily swindle his way through your fingers.

As for the Shamrock, that tradition dates back to AD 385 Click here to learn about third-party website links when a patron Saint by the name of Saint Patrick Click here to learn about third-party website links set out to convert pagans Click here to learn about third-party website links to Christians Click here to learn about third-party website links. And that's St. Patty's Day!

So what are your plans for St. Patty’s Day? Come celebrate with us here in Stagecoach Island!

Floating Trees In Stagecoach Island

Restless Mind and I were in world today and he noticed something – well, what’s the word – a bit peculiar while we were by the pond area.

So at the pond area at 37S and 76E, there’s a tree floating in midair. At first, I thought it was just sitting on the slant of the hill. But then Restless Mind kept telling me it was not so I went up closer for an inspection and – viola! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a TREE!

Look! A floating tree?

Now that you’ve seen this one, how many other floating trees can YOU find?

Checker’s Tournament Results Are In!

Today we had an exciting checkers tournament in world!

I played student2akajoey and I thought for sure I was doomed. He had me cornered at every move and I was left with only five pieces against almost all of his, but I still managed to beat the odds and win! Although deep down inside I think he let me win, it was just great to play him. The game was intense from beginning ‘til end, and most of the time we were quiet from thinking so hard.

In the next game Rosabelle played Jdp9693, which started Rosabelle off on a great winning streak. (I feel like a news broadcaster) In the end, Jdp9693 forfeited and let Rosabelle win. I suppose it made sense since he was left with a few pieces and no moves. But nevertheless, he tried!

For the grand finale, Rosabelle and I played each other and barely lost any of each other’s pieces. Then, I started having problems with this one square and couldn’t move my piece! I got super frustrated and Rosabelle told me she had that problem too! Talk about a mad game of checkers, literally! Anyhow, the game board decided to clear itself when Rosabelle’s piece wouldn’t move and then we decided to call it a draw. I told her at the very beginning of the game, I felt like we were the competitors in the movie “Akeelah and the Bee Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links.” And the irony is, well, we both won too!

A Conversation With Millionaire RandyLH

I had the privilege to interview one of our favorite locals—RandyLH! He opened his world and led me through a brief history on how he became a millionaire here in Stagecoach Island. You may remember him as the host to our very first talent show where Darthvader took home the grand prize of one million Stagecoach Island dollars—ALL provided to you by RandyLH!

“When I first landed on the island in a local village back in the early part of 2006, I was short on supplies and money and standing face to face with two local island girls,” RandyLH said. “One named Kai was singing and doing a wild Macarena dance and the other gal, MegSRP, was dressed all in green.”

Taking note that RandyLH has been trained in the art of survival, he knew right away that he needed more money and that he had to try and make friends with the local islanders.

Over the weekend I spent time in world catching up with everyone and I'm happy to know that everyone is excited about the new building feature that will be arriving soon! It's still in the works right now, but I can't wait till you guys get to check it out on your own. More details to come later so stay tuned!

I played Bingo on Saturday with Bikerbob, Nathan01, Cbow, Seashell, Ryan and many more. I didn't win a single game and, as a matter of fact, I barely got more than three tiles on the board per game—and that's counting the free one! Despite my Bingo defeat, I am hosting a checkers tournament next Thursday(3/8/07) in Checkers Hall so make sure to drop by and say 'hi' or come ready to play!

I keep missing Kai, Darthvader and RandyLH when I'm in world lately so I hope that they all show up to the tournament so we can catch up! There will be prizes for the winners. Check out the Events page to see the details of the tournament.

There were lots of others that showed up to Bingo and I'm catching so many new faces here in Stagecoach Island. I can't wait to meet all of you! Don't forget, if there's anything you need or don't understand here, I'm here to help so don't hesitate to ask or telegram me. See you soon!

Comets and Shooting Stars!

I’ve been spending lots of nights in Stagecoach Island and the night sky has really made it feel like home. I can just sit and stare from rooftops and mountain tops to watch the stars twinkle, and it’s at these moments – I’d wish that there were shooting stars or other cool cosmic Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links twists to our world. Don’t you?
Speaking of which, meteors Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links, otherwise known as shooting stars, are some of the rarest and coolest things I’ve seen growing up. I remember watching the meteor shower Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links of the star sign Leo Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links a couple years back and was wowed by the number of “shooting stars”. They reminded me of really shiny teardrops illuminating a dark cold night. Actually I’m still stunned by the fact that I actually sat out in the freezing cold for four hours watching these falling rocks from the sky! Funny thing is that literally millions of shooting stars occur every single day, even during the day when our happy sun is out and shining. So why can’t we catch very many of them? In reality, we only get to see about 0.005 percent Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links –which is scary statistic meaning one twenty-thousandth of the entire area of our beautiful sky. What does this mean? Well, it means that in one hour, there are about a dozen shooting stars happening!
The other cool thing to think about is the mystery behind the infamous “comet Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links.” They look so awesome in photos and pictures that we kind of forget what they really are. Bet you didn’t know that comets are actually gi-normous dirty snowballs Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links. Yep, it's sad to say, but that’s what they are folks, but not like it’s a bad thing! So remember that pretty comet tail? That comes from the comet when it inches close to the sun and the surface begins to boil –spitting chunks of ice into space. This ice turns to a swirling vapor carried out by the “solar wind” Click Here To Learn About Third Party Website Links along with some dust to make the notorious “comet’s tail.”
As for us Islanders, what kind of cosmic happenings have you caught in world?

About me:

On quiet afternoons on the island, I find new islanders and show them around. Almost every Friday night some friends that I've had for years meet up with me, and we can chat for hours without getting bored. I enjoy "Simming" homes, so drop me a gram if you'd like any help on a build!

Best Island Memory:

I can remember my first journey around the island like it was yesterday. It was on June 21, 2007, I met so many friendly islanders that day who showed me all of the important locations. Very few of them still come online, but I've also made many new friends through the years of being a Stagecoach citizen.
