We have decided to participate in a one-day blogging silence
on Monday, April 30, to remember the students who were massacred in the shooting at Virginia Tech. Cassie, Gmoney and KC will not be posting anything new, but you are more than welcome to share your feelings here. We'd like to take a moment to remember, respect and be silent for each and every person whose life ended in this tragedy.
As many of you have probably seen by now, I am attempting to build a home in Isla Del Sol. I know it may not look like the most amazing structure, but I’m in the process of testing the building functions to make sure it’s ready for all of you. There’s a pool, a few walls, this weird flashing green thing and my favorite—plushy pillows!
Don’t be alarmed if my new furniture starts disappearing. It’s not that I don’t like them; it’s just that I have to keep trying new things to make sure they work. We’re almost there everyone—I can SMELL building! Well, not really … if I did that would be kind of weird, but you get the idea.
I could use all your help and feedback in building, too. If you see me hauling things all over, feel free to stop by and tell me what you think and how things are looking. We’re in the process of setting up a feedback post where you’ll be able to share building tips and tricks with everyone, so stay tuned for that. I’ll be meeting up with Darthvader later today, he’s helping primp my pad—come join us later if you can!

So as many of you may know already, Sunday is Earth Day
! What does that mean? Well, it's the day that we appreciate and love our wonderful earth by remembering to recycle, reduce and reuse year round.
Lots of people are participating in this "green" event, and you should, too! Some celebrate by using eco-friendly products like things that are made from recycled material, saving energy (we hear that one ALL the time) or just by using biodegradable items
. Don't worry, guys: I'm not telling you to wrap yourself up in toilet paper instead of buying real clothes because it's "recyclable" or to read in the dark and eat cardboard. It would just be awesome if we all began to look at the concept of conserving. For those of you who are super-duper interested –check out "20/20's" special tonight
on our Planet Earth.
How can you "be green" in Stagecoach Island? Well, we're dropping a huge outdoor warehouse into the world called "Builder's Paradise" (I'll fill you in once I can get my hands on more details) where you can find an assortment of trees, plants, flowers and greenery so you can add your own touch of Earth Day into your new home. Something to remember: Trees help the whole island look happier and feel healthier (like virtual oxygen)! So for me, I'm throwing in lots of palm trees and flowers for my new home in Isla Del Sol. I wonder what you'll do!

As some of you may have noticed, the streets are getting names! Check back soon for your chance to take part in a contest to name a few special streets. Also, start planning what street, avenue or block you want to live on and build your Stagecoach Island dream home!
Yesterday I was in world and hung out in Sapphire Springs and Isla Del Sol. Everyone came and joined us like Cam, Darthvader, Kai, Freckles, Whopperjr and RandyLH, just to name a few. We all stood on the gazebo and it was really packed!
Cam and Darthvader dressed like twins today, both in green-striped shirts and the same hairstyle—the only thing different were the pants. Darthvader made fun of my “pink little shoes,” Whopperjr thought we were all in boxes, and RandyLH made a plan to sneak around and change the street signs—I had so much fun today and everyone had a mad sense of humor. Most of us were just laughing, joking and talking about whatever came to mind.
I feel like the new structures in world are really coming together now, and it gives all of us more places to hang out and catch up! Let me know if you notice anything different and want to share with everyone here in the Stagecoach Island Community!

Over the weekend, I received lots of telegrams of people noticing the brand-new "SI Real Estate" office. Have you checked it out yet? If not, it's a three-story glass building with each floor representing one of the neighborhoods. It's awesome and huge!
Each television screen on every floor will have some landscape shots of what you'll be looking at around the neighborhood you're shopping in. RandyLH, Rosabelle and I met up last night in world and decided on our master plan—well, more like RandyLH's master plan of buying low and selling high! Don't say I didn't warn you all—make sure you save up and buy a piece when they're released, or else you may have to rent a tiny box from our real estate investors!
Rosabelle and I struck a deal with RandyLH: If Rosa and I can't afford our plot of land for a home, RandyLH will lend us a patch of his front-lawn grass for a tent! So start shopping, looking, marking, plotting or whatever you need to do to prepare—building will be released before you know it!

We’ve been thinking of a new idea called “Member Spotlight." Every month, we will select one lucky avatar to be the featured Stagecoach Island member on the community site. We’ll take a picture of the avatar and write a short snippet of why we think that person rocks! Would you like to be featured? Tell us what you think!
These past few days I spent lots of time perusing the new neighborhoods with RandyLH, Kai, Anastasiya, Darthvader, cutiemckitty, Tony.g, and lots of others—basically snooping around and checking out the new features of each community! They’re coming together pretty quickly, so you should start checking them out and deciding which plot you would like to buy.
I’ve heard back from so many people telling me they already selected their plots and are excited to buy! In Sapphire Springs there’s a really awesome gazebo that looks like it glows and a fountain that adds just the right touch to the whole area. Desert Hollow has a café and its own personality.
As for myself, I want a plot right in Isla Del Sol—it’s so pretty and the building in it looks a lot like a “Spanish missionary” as RandyLH called it. I think it has a bit of a “Spanish Villa” look, don’t you?

As you may have already noticed, the new neighborhoods are currently under construction. We’re developing distinct neighborhoods with roads, bridges, fountains, fences, street lights and much more. We’ve decided on the pricing for each plot of land—they will cost $100,000 in any neighborhood of your choice.
You can’t buy the land plots just yet—but you can browse around and start picking which community best suits you and your personality! We will be launching soon, so watch your budget, and start saving that earned interest!
The Egg Hunt results are in and we have a winner!
Congratulations to Matt, the only one that found all 42 eggs in their appropriate locations and in the allotted time. A big round of applause goes out to all who participated in the fun. Ideas for future events? Let us know!
For all of you that missed it, the Easter Egg Hunt was a blast! I hid a total of 42 colorful eggs all over the city and town center! I stuck them in places like in the shopping centers, under park benches and tables, and even around the flowers next to the rocks. MegSRP caught and laughed at me a few times for trying to re-hide a few eggs I thought were too easy to spot, so I just tip-toed away and watched the hunt instead. Lots of people showed up to the event and it was probably one of the most happenin' get-togethers so far! Matt, Aslan, Ryan, Badjer, Allison, MegSRP, Anastasiya, Cam, Charmece and Gmoney - just to name a few - the list is just too long! The island was crowded and people were flying all over the place looking for eggs! Awesome isn't it? Great thing too was that there were a lot of newbie's that showed up - WAY more than past events coming in and joining the hunt. I tried to hide the eggs in super hard to find places, but Matt found all 42! I was shocked (and a little sad) to know that apparently, my egg hiding skills are just not as smashing as I thought they were. On average most people found anywhere from 17 to 30 eggs which is still really good! Honestly, even though I hid the eggs, I probably couldn't tell you where they all were if I didn't write it down. So a big props to Matt for finding ALL 42!

Guess what MegSRP and I found the other day? A yellow car that sunk into the ground inside the car rental at 56S 46E! MegSRP wanted to fix the problem by driving the car out of the ground, and it wouldn’t even budge! So finally she and I decided to help out the person who parked the car—a terrible job if I may say so myself—a service by hiding the evidence.
MegSRP took all the cars in the lot and drove them over the sunken car so that no one could possibly see it. All they could see was a massive pile-up of cars covering the poor little lost yellow car. Really discreet, aren’t we? Thus we have become “partners in crime”!
Then she let me in on the inside scoop that she, Kai and RandyLH are coming together and creating a surprise race for all us islanders! CoasterCrash and Sadie Girl are a part of the dream team of five as well and will be the testers of this cool new race. It sounds pretty awesome considering how big the team is, but MegSRP has said that it will take a little more time to fine-tune the details. Can’t wait!

Come join Cassie and Gmoney as we race to find Easter eggs all over the island. We’ve hidden quite a few, so make sure to tell us how many you were able to find. Let’s see who can find them all!
Earlier this week, Rosabelle and I met in world by the submarine. We started talking about travel and places we've visited. She told me about a time when she went to Austria to visit her great aunt and described the layout of her aunt's apartment. Rosabelle said that the shower was in the kitchen! So odd, but I suppose it makes sense considering space limitations and how expensive things are. It's just different for us because we're used to having a complete separate room for the bathroom.
She asked about my vacation and I gave her some inside scoop of my Maui adventures. One thing I didn't mention that I learned was about Pele's Curse
. I know, I know, curse? Don't freak out yet—basically the urban legend is that the goddess Pele curses only those who take volcanic rocks away from her native land.
Hawaii receives packages of rocks every year sent back by tourists who took them. Like Rosabelle said, "If everybody takes a rock, there won't be anything left!"
What kind of prank can you play on people in Stagecoach Island? Seriously—I've actually given it some thought, but I just can't constructively come up with any. So, instead of playing a prank, which I don't think is very nice, I've decided to just give you some insight as to why people fool their friends and family on this day.
No one knows for sure why this tradition came to be. What is certain is that this day is also known as "All Fools' Day"
. So I figure it's a lose-lose situation—you're going to be labeled a fool anyway, might as well be the one doing the fooling and not the victim. Getting back to business, some people believe it all began in France around 1582
, when the new Gregorian calendar was introduced by Charles IX
and New Year's Day moved from April 1 to January 1.
Since everyone back then traveled at the pace of turtles, the news didn't really get around quickly enough. Certain people continued to celebrate New Year's Day on April 1, and these people were labeled as "fools" and sent on "fool errands," forcing them to go to places that didn't exist. Aww! You see, this is why communication is so important, everyone! The tradition eventually spread like wildfire from Britain, Scotland, and everywhere else and is also why we now find it hard to turn down the temptation for practical jokes!
This could all be a joke, you know, none of this could be real, and you're going to wake up living in Stagecoach Island, eating Stagecoach Island burgers served to you by Whopperjr. Never mind, that's actually not a very good April Fools' joke—I'll save that thought for Halloween. Your Sassy Cassie (dubbed by RandyLH) signing out for the moment!
