So I logged into my virtual account on the island the other day and got a strange message. It said that I owed a mortgage payment, but I already owned my land and didn’t take out a mortgage. I know I know - this probably happened to you too right? If it did, raise your hand! *raises hand*

They’ll look into it right away and get back to you! I think it looks awesome, it's different than other homes I've seen, it's smaller, but its got a real stylish flair, especially since its held up by all those poles. I dig it! =)

I twice, had to make huge Mortage payments on property that I had payed cash for! What a nightmare that was! Especially during the Holidays! Thank you so much for finally fixing that problem. I can rest easy now.

I'm posting this here by suggestion from Cassie so the techies might catch a glimpse.
The mortgage issue is over, yet now something new may already be on the rise. I logged in a few days ago and saw the Taxes Due icon floating in front of me. I'm unaware of anything I can be taxed for, and I'm pretty sure I recall being told that myself and the rest of the SI beta testers were tax-exempt? Is this issue related to the mortgage thing or something different altogether? If I'm wrong I'll gladly pay my fees, but I'd like to make sure first. ;)
