So, I know we just celebrated Earth Hour, but this month is even more special!

Why? Well, it's "Keep America Beautiful Month!" Click here to learn about third-party website links If you don't live in America, it's all good — just sharing and spreading the Green-love Click here to learn about third-party website links to all the corners of earth!

Oh, and if you didn't know already, today is also Earth DayClick here to learn about third-party website links

Hmm...do you remember sitting in class in first and second grade, and you had to draw Earth with a bunch of people holding hands Click here to learn about third-party website links around it? Yea, it's kind of like that, except now you're probably more artistic, and when you cut the Earth out, it's actually round! Hey, I'll admit it — I wasn't the most coordinated with my safety scissors. But the point was to show our support for the green and blue that makes up our amazing planet and (of course) only home.

Anyhow, come celebrate with us as we party for Green! Seriously, I started planting tomatoes and stuff in my Isla Del Sol home and will hopefully have my own veggie garden by summer! How are you celebrating and supporting Earth Day? Share with us!

P.S. Don't forget to submit in your spring homes — I can't wait to see them!

Today is Earth Day Click here to learn about third-party website links, which means another chance to appreciate and make a difference for our awesome green planet! I know, I know…sometimes I sit around and think, "What can I do?"

Well, there are actually lots of things!

Hmm...we can recycle Click here to learn about third-party website links more, use plastic bottles instead of paper cups, don't toss gum wrappers (seriously, that's bad), plant a tree Click here to learn about third-party website links for your community, or hey, you can even start your own little garden patch! I found these little one dollar pots with seeds that are easy and cute to plant, so that's what I'm doing — I've got my tomato seeds all ready to go!

AND for all of you that participated in "Earth Hour," and became part of the movement…woot! Give yourself a BIG pat on the back! For all of you that didn't, it's all good — in the end, it's the thought that counts. Actually, we've done some cool stuff too! Oh, and it can't hurt to know some awesome earth trivia, so check out Staci's Earth Day tips.

If you want to learn more about the Earth, you can watch my favorite DVD "Blue Planet Click here to learn about third-party website links," an amazing Discovery Channel project! (I'm a nerd, I know.) Or check out the Planet Green websiteClick here to learn about third-party website links

This week is very special for our little home sweet home — planet Earth. Why? Well, if you've heard anything about global warming Click here to learn about third-party website links then you know the heat is on!

On March 29th at 8pm, everyone around the world who's participating in "Earth HourClick here to learn about third-party website links will turn off their lights for one hour.

It all began last year on March 31st when people and companies in Sydney, Australia Click here to learn about third-party website links switched off and helped reduce the city's energy by 10.2%! I mean, seriously, it's only an hour…maybe I'll just take a nap. I'm in! Are you?

Green Island

Put your hands together for Blog Action Day! It's a once a year thing where bloggers everywhere write about the same topic. This is the first year for me, so even though it may not sound like the most exciting title, Blog Action Day promotes an awesome cause: saving our environment!

What can we islanders do to make a difference? I know many of you have seen that tiny patch of "what-cha-ma-call-it" in the corner of Isla Del Sol, and since there hasn't been progress as a house, I'm planning to turn it into a community garden! What do you think? Share your ideas on how to make it purty like all the other ones on the island.

Hmm...let's see. Other than that, I don't use paper cups and save used paper to recycle as scratch paper. So tell me, what have you been doing to be more green? Share with us and see who's the most creative!

Green means go, so on your mark...get set...GO!

About me:

On quiet afternoons on the island, I find new islanders and show them around. Almost every Friday night some friends that I've had for years meet up with me, and we can chat for hours without getting bored. I enjoy "Simming" homes, so drop me a gram if you'd like any help on a build!

Best Island Memory:

I can remember my first journey around the island like it was yesterday. It was on June 21, 2007, I met so many friendly islanders that day who showed me all of the important locations. Very few of them still come online, but I've also made many new friends through the years of being a Stagecoach citizen.
