Merger Newsletters Are On Their Way

If you've been reading the blog faithfully, you probably already know how the integration is proceeding. You know, for example, that right now you can make cash withdrawals and get balance information with no access fee at any Wells Fargo or Wachovia ATM from coast-to-coast. You also know that our state-by-state conversions are beginning with Colorado in late 2009.

But if you haven't been here too regularly, then beginning June 1, Wells Fargo and Wachovia customers will be able to get all that information and more by accessing a copy of the Merger Update newsletter on wellsfargo.com or wachovia.com. Or you can just click on the respective pics below and preview them before it is launched!

Keep in mind we'll be mailing these newsletters to all of our customers with their June statements, too. And those of you with accounts in other business lines — such as Wealth Management and Small Business — will be seeing your own Merger Update newsletters as well.

As usual, thanks for your patience, readership and comments!

Thanks for the sneak peek!

Awesome... Thank for the Update. I cant wait to be come a Wells Fargo Customer.

You have to really respect WF for the job it is doing in this merger.

I've read comments comparing this integration to Chase's integration of WaMu. Chase is actually doing a poor job of communicating and integrating WaMu. For example, they changed all the names of the WaMu branches in CA to Chase, but didn't convert the computer systems (because they just wanted to get their brand into CA). So, if you are a Chase customer, you cannot use those particular branches even though the signs outfront say Chase. Chase seems to be more concerned about what is best for Chase rather than what is best for its customers.

I love the communication WF is giving on this integration. The more communication (through multiple channels) the better. First Union/Wachovia took about 3 years to integrate, and that was just a flawless integration from a customer's perspective. (By the way, please keep Way2Save and Wachovia Possibilities Rewards!)

Thanks WF!

I just recently moved to Florida from California. I opened new accounts last year and chose Wells Fargo over other banks mainly because several of the employees told me that I would be able to use any Wachovia branches by the time I move. After going to Wachovia and calling Wells Fargo, apparently the only way I can make deposits is by mail; quite inconvenient. Is there any word of when deposits will be possible? Very frustrated.

I really love Way2Save. It is a good method for applying the rule of "pay yourself first".

When can we tie our Wells Fargo mortgage to our Wachovia checking account?

@ Anonymous, in response to your post on June 10, you should be able to set your Wells Fargo Mortgage up to be drafted from your Wachovia checking account now. Just set it up as a payee as you do any other bill pay account.

@ Anonymous, in response to your comment on June 8, a definite date has not been set for the Florida branches to convert. Please know that we will let you know as soon as there is more information.
